Guy Ritchie is back! I watched RocknRolla last night and it is true what they say, Madonna is the the reason why Guy Ritchie makes bad films! Now that she's out of the picture, it seems like he's back in the game!
I don't care what the reviews say, but this is definitely one of the better films I've seen in a while! It's got a cool soundtrack too. Loved the cuts and the edits.
P/S: My header is back too! For some strange reason my website was down for a while and everything that linked to it went down as well. It's back now.

Left: Robert "RAab" Stevenson
Right: Peter Moses
I attended a vocal workshop coducted by these two fine gentelmen. Peter spoke from the perspective of a studio engineer while RAab spoke from a singer's and vocal coach's perspective. I got heaps out of the workshop and even more while hanging out with these guys just trying to pick their brain.
It says in RAab's bio, "meet him and you’ll be drawn to his magnetic personality". That is so true. It's so cool how he has worked with some really big names including Justin Timberlake yet he remains so down to earth. Same goes to Peter who have also worked with big names including Will.I.Am.

ADRA iGeneration Concert
0 Comments Published by Kevin Broken Scar on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 10:27 PM.The Light FM Musical Challenge came to a close last night. The finals were held at the iGeneration concert where the top five winners played live and the judges picked the first, second and third place winners. I had a great time playing for Hannah and it was just fun hanging out all day doing close to nothing until we finally hit the stage to play her song. Hannah didn't get into the top three, but it's all good. We had heaps of fun.

Adelaide: The Giant Rocking Horse
0 Comments Published by Kevin Broken Scar on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 2:53 PM.How green is the grass and how blue is the sky?
Check out the pink trees and the green one sticking out on the right side of the picture.
The drive out to the Barosa Valley has heaps of these sceneries left and right. Winery haven.
Grape vines as far as your eye can see.
The Giant Rocking Horse
It's HUGE! See how tiny I am.
It's the biggest rocking horse in the world. How cool is that?
Err...where to?

CK from the band, Ben's Bitches was in town for his convo. Manage to catch up with him over a huge souvlaki lunch at Stalagtites in the city. We took this picture outside of Missing Link Record Store.

Let's talk about my brother for a second. Some of you might know that i have a younger brother, Darren that is in the music scene as well. He plays in a band called Army Of Three. He has recently put together his own acoustic band called An Honest Mistake and he's been recording a single that is due for release really soon. I am proud of him in every way imaginable.

Pictures From The Limelight
0 Comments Published by Kevin Broken Scar on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 11:28 PM.Our special guest, directly from Malaysia, the amazing Azmyl Yunor opening Scene I.
Allan Pascual was up next.
Nobody, closing Scene II.
The view from the mixing desk.
The awesome audience.
Scene At the Movies and Charles Tan, manning the merch!
It's nice to look over and see a full house.
Caleen Chua performing in the open mic slot, Scene III.
Charles Tan closing the night.
Once again, the awesome audience.
I didn't manage to get pictures of all the acts as I was juggling the mixing duties and running around pretty much. I didn't get pictures with my friends too. Oh well...

I just want to give a big shout out to everyone who came out to the show last night! The Limelight @ Miss Libertine was a huge success thanks to all of you and it definitely made our night.
Thanks for making it such a wonderful experience for us as organisers as well as performers! We played to a fantastic audience. You guys were supporting to the max. Simply fantastic. Thanks for singing along to my songs! You sounded beautiful!
If any of you have pictures or videos, please feel free to send them to me at: brokenscarmail@gmail.com or you could always upload the vids on youtube and point me the links.
I had such a great time organising the show and I have to say it was a breeze as the show went on without glitches. I also had a great time mixing the acts! Good stuff guys. To top it all off, I couldn't have played my set any better without you guys!
Bit shout outs to everyone at Miss Libertine, Cranbourne Music (our sponsor), to Jon (who was the nicest and most helpful sound engineer I've ever met, you're a legend), Zach (thanks for helping with the door) and last but not least to all my friends that came out to see me and support me. Rock & Roll people!

The drives in Adelaide are absolutely scenic. I loved it. I guess the drives in Australia generally is fantastic. Must be the greenery and the fresh air.
Pose for the camera. There was a little farm next to the Chocolate Factory.
The pictures below were taken at Melba's Chocolate Factory.
I think this would be any kid's dream come true.
I was obviously still a big kid.
...and I was obviously attracted to all the fancy bright colours.
Bulk is the way to go!
The factory area is just open for everyone to see. It was cool to see them making the lollies and packing them.
I thought this was a little funny. I've never seen these ones before.
As you can see, they've got all kinds of lollies!
There's even these ones that look like spuds!
I bought the chocolate coated coffee beans. They give me a mad sore throat but it's worth it! Haha.
I think gummy bears are my favourite lollies.
The car I drove around in.

Adelaide: Hahndorf
0 Comments Published by Kevin Broken Scar on Monday, October 13, 2008 at 10:33 PM.Flying Tiger Airways for the first time. It was a pretty bumpy ride from Melbourne to Adelaide but other than that, the flight was decent. It was fairly short too. It took just slightly over an hour to get there. We pretty much hit the ground running. We hired a car at the airport and drove out.
The pictures below were taken at a German town called Hahndorf, our first stop.
The weather was perfect.
A glimpse of the quaint town.
The Handorf Inn, where we had breakfast.
The furniture is pretty old skool.
Big Breakfast.
I thought this was pretty cool.
The Apple Strudel. It definitely isn't like the Corica one from Perth but it was still pretty good.
There was this shop selling garden decorations. It's looks like a little fairy city!
Anyone care to tell me what this means, because I have no idea.
