Adelaide

I was in Adelaide over Friday and Saturday with The Bright Star Alliance, finishing up the last show of the tour and this is what I got up to.
The Giant Koala. Everyone who drives through from Melbourne to Adelaide has to stop for this! I'm still wondering what it's made off.

This is what we do during the long drives. We take photos! The drive only took us close to eight hours which was way shorter than to Newcastle.
Nikki bass

Chillin in the van, heading to Adelaide. Oh, and the view outside was just majestic. I took some photos but it just won't do it any justice. You definitely have to take a drive to see for yourself. I am so tempted to take another drive down those roads. Oh, and the cross wind was hardcore. It was nothing like the tiny ones back in Malaysia. The winds were so strong, I actually swerved the van, thinking that I had a flat tyre. When I got out of the van to check the tyres, they were fine. The winds were just that strong.

The gear behind me. We packed a little lighter this time round since it was just an overnight trip.

At The Fowlers, Adelaide. This is the green room downstairs. It's got this feel as though there has been heaps of history in that place. Lots of famous people would have walked those corridors.

The dressing room. How popstar is that? Look at the mirrors!

The Lounge. I really liked the chilled out vibe. There are also bathrooms in the area, for obvious reasons.

The main entrance

Mr. Castley, restringing and getting some fresh air out in the open

Mr. Barker, multi-tasking

The Yamaha PM3000 that I mixed on. Really nice desk to work on. Love the VCAs.
The line-up

Err...me?

The bar area

Deez Nuts Merch. They had heaps of merch man.

I can't seem to resist old skool games. I just can't get away from them.

I know the high score isn't all that much but hey, I'm still 1st and 2nd.

I eventually beat my high score and got 77080. Woohoo!

This is what I know. I lost to Josh in my second head to head battle but I was told by some friends that I beat Dom in the third head to head battle. So what does this mean? I actually don't know what will happen next. Only time will tell. I will keep you posted. Thanks for all the votes! Love you all!

STICKY: Upcoming Gig

Update:
Dear all, due to unforseen circumstances, The Limelight will be moved to a different venue and possibly a different date. However, this new venue will be in the CBD, making it more convenient for everyone to attend. Plus, it has a fantastic ambience to just hang back and relax. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

I will keep you posted on the new details.

Thanks so much.

Kevin Broken Scar

Hey guys, I am proud to announce that I have put together my first show ever and the flyer has all the details. The entry is cheap as and I hope to pack up the place. Come chill out to some of the finest acts in Melbourne stripping it down, acoustic style. See you there!

Pictures From Castlehill: The Mansion

The drive way up to the mansion

The van we've been travelling in. It doesn't look like it's huge from the outside, but it really is. Fit all six of us comfortably and the boys packed in all their gear too. The gear included a whole PDP drumkit, cymbals and hardware, two Marshall 1960 guitar cabs, two Marshall guitar heads, 1 Ampeg bass head, three guitars and a bass, two suitcases for cables and pedals and one flight case for misc cables. I think that's it. We all have one bag each for clothes and stuff as well as sleeping bags, air-beds, blankets and pillows.

The spiral staircase is just way cool

The long walk way on the first floor. The rooms are located on the left. I think there are six rooms on this floor.

The view from the front of the house

This lamp is just so old skool I had to take a picture of it

The Lounge Room

The main entrance

The TV/Living Room

Chilling on the..errmm..decks? Terrace?

The pool table on the groundfloor. This was where TBSA, the crew and I slept.

Check out the garage/workshop. I think it has everything you need. It's probably better equipped than a proper shop even.

Another view of the walk way

The outside driveway area

There was a coffin shaped swimming pool as well behind the house near the garden. The garden was probably as big as half a football field. There was a dedicated pool house too.I didn't manage to get any pictures. Hope the rest of the boys did.

The weather throughout the tour was fantastic. Perfect sun, warm and bright. I wasn't quick enough to whip out my camera later that night when we drove from Canberra to Sydney. There were Kangaroos, Wombats and foxes on the street. The funniest thing was spotting the Kangaroo right in front of the gig venue. It was just standing there, not moving. The moment we said, "is it real or fake", it started moving. Good times indeed!
