In Darkness

I cooked in the dark and had a nice candlelight dinner for earth hour. The funny thing is, by the time I had finished cooking, it was already 925pm but we decided to continue anyway. Why not save an extra hour of energy?

I am only one person, but if I can contibute to make a difference, why not?

Earth Hour

First thing's first. Let's forget about gig promos and music musings for awhile and put some focus on what's really relevant.

"At 8:30pm on Saturday 28 March, people from all corners of the world will turn off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour - and cast their vote for action on climate change. Anybody can participate and join together with millions of people across the globe celebrating Earth Hour." Taken from the Earth Hour Website.

Let's celebrate Earth Hour and vote for earth together! It'll be awesome!

Terima Kasih KL

Hey boys and girls,

I am back in Melbourne, Australia already and I just want to say a huge thanks to all of you back in KL for coming out to the shows and supporting Broken Scar throughout the last 2.5 months. It's been a great time playing all those shows. The band and I had a blast and I hope you felt the same way too. Until the next KL trip, THANKS A MILLION. You mean the world to me.

To my band, Alda, Alex and Paul, and our special guests Rohnie and Ywenna, I love you guys. Standing on stage with you guys as rehearsing in the same room as you guys are the happiest moments!

To my friends and family, I don't even know where to start. Thanks for taking the time to hang out with me.

A big shout out to Rashdan. Bro, we finally worked together after 7 years in the making!

Once again, thanks so much for making my KL trip awesome!

Kevin Broken Scar

A Toast To You

I can't believe...
...it's Sunday already.
...it's March already.
...we're three months into 2009 already.
...my stint in KL is almost up.

I can't even remember when I blogged last. It's been a while indeed but I believe everything comes all in good time. I'm glad that the cause of my lack of blogging was me being busy playing shows and catching up with people.

I am also happy to know that over this short time I am able to connect with my band-mates, strengthen existing friendships and build new ones too. Things get pretty tough when you have so little time yet you have to juggle so many tasks but it was definitely worth it. When it came to family, everything had to stand still and put on hold for them. That's just the way I roll.

I will write about the highlights from gigs and shows but this post goes out to my friends. If you're reading this, you know who you are. I hope that through this time, I was able to put a smile on your face because you sure did that for me.
I love you guys.

P/S:
I have definitely overloaded on food and if I stay here any longer I think my stomach will explode.
