Back To Basics #2 In pictures

Eddie Shang kicked off the night with some solid covers and originals.

A glimpse of the cosy venue and the crowd. I love how intimate this venue is and the crowd was definitely receptive and responsive!

Sarah De Haan blew us away with an awesome set despite being a little under the weather! Click on her name to check out her music on MySpace. She has an amazing voice and her songs are so catchy!

Shafro played an amazing set plus they had a violist too which made them stand out.

Tomoko Whyte took the stage next and she belted out some amazing covers giving them her own flavour as well as some awesome originals. She was celebrating her birthday too. Happy Birthday Tomoko!

Big smiles all around.

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to snap any pictures of Tee and Zach Tay. Sorry guys. They were amazing by the way. There were heaps of people coming up to me saying that they sounded awesome. High five guys! Oh and last but not least, yours truly jumped up and played a song! All in good fun. It was a night filled with top notch performers and I couldn't be happier to be a part of this! Tuesday nights just has just gotten better!

Back To Basics #1

Some of you might know that I organise shows in Melbourne and last night, we launched a new acoustic show called Back To Basics @ Biero. As the name of the show suggests, it was back to basics, focusing on the music, stripped down! This is a new platform where we can host more up-coming acoustic acts and singer-songwriters which are not genre specific.

Christina Peng kicked off the night with a blend of originals and covers. Then Tim McMillan made a surprise guest appearance, shredding everyone's faces off.

Next Dimension took center stage with their Seattle grunge style acoustic tunes followed by Have You Seen Nelson, with an awesome mix of covers and originals.

Have You Seen Nelson?

Saturday Afternoon was up next and last night was possibly their last show together as Fariz will be heading back to Malaysia soon. Special shout out to SA for covering The City & The Lights by yours truly! Loved the harmonies guys! Mel, writing down all the lyrics on your arms was epic! High fives all around! You guys are always amazing!

Saturday Afternoon

Sharon Bullecer accompanied by Andrei were up next playing some pretty awesome covers while Andrei played two of his originals. Sharon has such an amazing voice!

Last but not least, just for fun, I got up on stage to do a song and so did Lionel.
Everyone played their hearts out and it was great fun being a part of it all. All in all, it was an awesome night out!

Special mention to Iqbal and the rest of the Biero crew. You guys are amazing! Thanks heaps for partnering with us to get this show off the ground! Woot!

The ever awesome Vivien at the door! Awesome work as always Viv!
